UPDATE:  Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz outlasted Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez 11-5 in the final round to win the 25th Home Run Derby at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif.

Earlier: Home Run Derby 2010. Tonight, Major League Baseball biggest hitters will come out for the over-hyped, glorified batting practice we all know and love: The Home Run Derby 2010. This year’s Derby will take place at the Los Angeles Angels stadium, in Anaheim, on July 12th, starting 8 pm ET. You will be able to watch the Home Run Derby live on ESPN, ESPN 3D and ESPN Deportes.

The derby rules will play out just as they have in recent years. During the first round of competition, each hitter will be allotted 10 outs–everything other than a home run is an out. They’ll play into a second round, then the finals.
